Exciting News to share with all!
The Dam Committee has taken the next steps and has formulated the petition to form a Lake District to review and sign. Many have already asked us when the petitions would be ready as they are eager to move our process along. We will have a few different times and opportunities set up for all to attend.
The first opportunity will be on Saturday July 6th from 0800-10:00 am at The Town of Round Lake Hall. The Dam Committee members will be there for any questions and conversation to explain this process.
To review the Wisconsin Statutes that we must abide by to become a Lake District the following is who is designated as an eligible signer:
- Joint owners: All owners are eligible to sign the petition if your name is listed on the Sawyer County tax role as of October 2023.
- Ownership by a Corporation or Trust: only the authorized person may sign ( i.e. Jane Smith, trustee)
- Owners of multiple parcels of real estate; People may only sign the petition once.
There will be other dates set up over the course of the next month to six weeks to also sign your petitions. Those dates will be forthcoming.
